Although Compact Discs, also known as CDs, are going the way of the dinosaurs (i.e. extinct), their decline has been fairly abrupt. For Portraits I am pressing a limited edition run of the album on CDs. These will be available at shows, select record shops and online (which will then be mailed to you). There is something to be said about holding a physical music product (i.e. CD, tape, LP, etc) versus just downloading them off bandcamp or Itunes. There is a connectivity between the consumer/purchaser of the music and the artist that does not happen in our heavily digital-ized age. Or maybe that is just my opinion. In addition to CDs I have been crafting some download cards, to keep up with this digital-ized generation. Here is a little sneak peak.

Last week’s mid-week jam on Old Woman’s Mind took an expected detour as we found our Jamaican souls, met Bob Marley, and had a funky reggae break down. I have a couple more demos of this manner recorded from this session, which I may release later this week.
