Just wrote a new song. Maybe if I can tighten it up in the next few days I will play it at @treesorganic this #weekend.

Back in May I had a chance to explore Edmonton and Calgary. These adventures were a combination of tracing the family tree and pursuing artistic endeavors. When I returned home I discovered that I charted on Edmonton’s CJSR Folk/Roots/Blues charts. Which I find really exciting. Exciting to know that my music has made it out of BC, connecting with others elsewhere on this planet we live. Summer has flown by. Played a number of shows in southern BC. Worked on an article in Vernon. I have been camping and mountain biking lots. Written a half dozen new songs. Working on new demos and a forthcoming single. I know it is not over yet, but it is hard to believe to believe it is August. I have a few shows coming up this week, and will have some fall concert announcements in the near future!

Thanks to Glenna for sending me this photo from the recent show at the Little Beetle Bistro in @Chilliwack
I am super excited to be performing on the Sunshine Coast. It has been years since I have been able to play in my home ‘area’ (Pender Harbour is not my home town, but pretty dam close). Info on Coffee House —> HERE
I finally finished editing a batch of Grad 2012 photos. All done for this grad season, until next year…. Just wrote a new song. Maybe if I can tighten it up in the next few days I will play it at @treesorganic this #weekend.

My close friend Johanna Dalgleish has been dancing for as long as I have known her (and I have known her many moons). She recently launched an indiegogo campaign in support of her dance collaboration with Meagan O’Shea, titled ‘as yet unknown’ ; as they attempt to take their project to the next level. The details of the break up are so boring, universal, mundane… even cliche… yet they are utterly all-consuming. ‘as yet unknown’ chronicles the dissolution of a relationship and the navigation of loneliness, longing and picking up the pieces that follows. For the past two years dancer Johanna Dalgleish and mid-career dancer and choreographer Meagan O’Shea have researched and collaborated out-of-pocket to create a new 25 minute solo about the process of finding oneself out of the wreckage of a break up. Now we’re coming together to present our new work for the first time. …help us get there… Click HERE to support Johann’s project. If you are unable to financially back the project, please share the link with friends, family and loved ones. |
